The strict lockdown rules will remain in Hamburg for the next two weeks. However, there is a relaxation for nursing homes.
The Hamburg Senate extended the Corona Containment Ordinance to May 2nd on Friday. This means that the Hanseatic city continues to have a nocturnal exit restriction between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and a strict contact restriction.
Vaccinated nursing home residents are allowed to meet
However, the regulations for inpatient nursing homes are to be relaxed: Fully vaccinated residents will be able to meet again from Friday next week without a mask and a minimum distance. You also no longer need to be routinely tested. The vaccinated nursing staff only has to do one rapid test per week. Visitors still have to be tested, but they are allowed to come every day as before the pandemic.
Daycare centers remain in emergency operation
With the new regulation, the Hamburg daycare centers will remain in so-called extended emergency operation. Alternating lessons with compulsory testing continue to take place in schools. The compulsory attendance remains lifted.
