Halo 4 will be released November 17 for PC – Gaming – News

Halo 4 will be available for PC on November 17 as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The Master Chief Collection update for Xbox Series S and X will also be available on that date.

Microsoft has announced the arrival of the PC version of Halo 4 disclosed on Twitter and also released a new accompanying trailer. It was already known that Halo 4 was yet to follow in the line of Halo games that make up The Master Chief Collection, but an exact release date was previously unknown. According to the trailer description, Halo 4’s campaign is a full remaster. Multiplayer is also available.

The original Halo 4 was released for Xbox 360 in 2012, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection was released for Xbox One in November 2014. This collection was released for PC in December 2019, with the various Halo games released in chronological order step by step. At the end of last year, Halo: Reach was released first. After that, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and the Halo 3: ODST campaign became available. Now it’s Halo 4’s turn.

Probably it will stop there, since Microsoft previously indicated that there will be no PC version of Halo 5. Only the free-to-play Halo 5: Forge released in 2016 is available for PC. Halo 5: Guardians is already available, but only for the Xbox consoles. Incidentally, this title gets no separate update for Series X, such as the special optimizations that will be available for The Master Chief Collection. This concerns, for example, a 120fps option and improvements to the split screen feature are coming. Playing Halo 5 on the Series X or S does have some general benefits, such as faster loading times and gameplay in higher resolutions.
