Hallmark & Disney Announce First-Ever Co-Produced Holiday Film, Shooting at Walt Disney World
LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL – Hallmark Channel and Disney are joining forces to create a new, original holiday film set and filmed at Walt Disney World Resort, marking a notable expansion of their long-standing brand relationship. The movie, starring Lacey Chabert and Tyler Hynes, is slated for release next year and will be the first Hallmark film shot on location at the iconic Florida resort.
The collaboration builds upon a history of licensed products between the two companies, including the first-ever Mickey Mouse greeting card. “To our first-ever licensed products, including the very first greeting card featuring Mickey Mouse,” said Darren Abbott, Chief Brand Officer, Hallmark. ”We’re thrilled to expand our relationship beyond the products we create together and onto the screen with this heartwarming and joyful Christmas movie that embodies the very best of both brands.”
Chabert made a special appearance from Magic Kingdom Park during Hallmark Channel’s broadcast of The Hallmark Christmas Experience: A Hometown Holiday, officially announcing the film’s upcoming debut.
The story centers on Lindsey (Chabert) and her family’s Christmas trip to Walt Disney World, which takes an unexpected turn when she discovers her resort neighbor is philip (Tyler Hynes), a disastrous first date. As their paths continue to cross, a potential romance blossoms amidst the magic of the parks. The film’s plot hinges on a wish Lindsey makes at Cinderella fountain.

Beyond the film itself, Disney and Hallmark plan to release a collection of co-branded holiday products next season, including greeting cards, ornaments, gifts, and gift wrap. Thes items will be available at select Hallmark Gold Crown stores, Hallmark.com, and other retailers to be announced.
