Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Closes, Flights Move to These 5 Airports

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and the Indonesian Air Force on January 21, 2022 informed that: Halim Perdanakusuma Airport is closed provisionally starting January 26, 2022.

Halim . Airport Closure Perdanakusuma was carried out in the context of revitalization in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 9 of 2022. During the closure, flights were diverted to a number of other airports.

The following is a list of airports prepared as a diversion flights from Halima Airport Perdanakusuma:

  1. Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang)
  2. Husein Sastranegara Airport (Bandung)
  3. Kertajati Airport (Majalengka)
  4. Pondok Cabe Airport (Jakarta)
  5. Budiarto Airport (Tangerang)

President Director of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin said the flight operational shift scenario was formulated by the Operation Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) team formed by AP II.

“The ORAT team together with stakeholders including the Ministry of Transportation, the Airport Authority Office Region I, AirNav Indonesia, airlines and ground handling have been preparing a displacement scenario since about two months ago,” he said in an official statement, quoted on Sunday (1/23/2022).

His party has also held a coordination meeting with all stakeholders to smooth out the operational shift scenario that has been agreed upon by all parties.

“There are a total of 21 flight operators, consisting of 2 scheduled commercial airlines, 17 non-scheduled commercial airlines and 2 cargo airlines, with a total fleet of 67 aircraft, plus 12 military aircraft that will move operations from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to the receiving airport. “said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Unscheduled commercial flight transfer

The operational shift of the unscheduled commercial airline fleet will begin on January 22-25, 2022.

Director of Operation & Services AP II Muhamad Wasid said that non-scheduled commercial airlines from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport were moved to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Pondok Cabe Airport and Budiarto Airport.

“Flight safety and security facilities at the receiving airport are certain to be able to handle fleet movements, taking into account facilities such as runways, aprons and taxiways,” explained Muhamad Wasid.

Non-scheduled commercial airline aircraft that have moved operations to Soekarno-Hatta Airport are placed on the apron of Terminal 1, namely:

  • Premi Air (1 unit)
  • Indonesia Air Transport (1 unit)
  • Cross Eagle (2 units)
  • AFM (3 unit)
  • Charisma (5 units)
  • Tri MG (3 unit)
  • Water Hornet/CEO Jetset (3 units)

Meanwhile, the planes planned to move to the GMF AeroAsia hangar at Soekarno-Hatta Airport include:

  • Premi Air (8 unit)
  • Travira (1 unit)
  • Charisma (1 unit)
  • PTN (1 unit)
  • Jhonlin (2 unit)
  • Water Hornet/CEO Jetset (1 unit)
  • AFM (1 unit)

Then, the planes that are planned to move to Pondok Cabe Airport include:

  • Travira Air (4 units)
  • Water Lamp (1 unit)
  • Premi Air (1 unit)
  • Jhonlin (1 unit)
  • Water Susi (1 unit)
  • Travel (3 units)
  • Fasi (2 units)

The planes that are planned to move to Budiarto Airport include:

  • Cross Eagle (2 units)
  • Charisma (3 units)
  • Airfast (3 units)

Meanwhile, for airline aircraft that move to Husein Sastranegara Airport is Biomantara (2 units).

The cargo planes that are planned to move to the apron of Terminal 1 Soekarno-Hatta Airport are Trigana Air (3 units) and Sriwijaya Air (1 unit).

Furthermore, the transfer of ground handling operators is planned to take place on 22 – 24 January 2022. All ground handling operations will be relocated.

Military flight transfer

The operational transfer of military flights is planned for January 24-25, 2022. EGM of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Marsma TNI Nandang Sukarna said the operations of 3 Air Squadrons (Skadud) were moved.

“Skadud 17 has moved to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, while Squadud 2 and Skadud 31 have moved to Husein Sastranegara Airport,” he said.

The fate of Citilink and Batik Air flights

The implementation of scheduled commercial airline transfers includes two airlines, namely Citilink and Batik Air. On January 25, 2022, it is planned that Batik Air and Citilink will depart from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

Meanwhile, for arrivals (arrivals) a number of destinations to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport will be diverted to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Meanwhile, Kertajati Airport (Majalengka) is prepared to support the movement. In this case, the placement of cargo planes, placement of RON (Remain Over Night) aircraft, charter flights, and Touch and Go Military activities will be carried out at Kertajati Airport.
