Hairdressers in Austria have reopened, but appointments are only available with a negative test. A person from Salzburg found a solution and set up his own test center in his salon.
Hairdressers in Austria have reopened for a week and a half. However, anyone who wants to go to the hairdresser needs a negative corona test. But getting a timely appointment for a rapid antigen test or PCR test is not that easy: The free test stations are completely overloaded and some of them are booked for over a week. That is why the first hairdresser in Salzburg is now offering its own test line.
Since Tuesday, Christian Sturmayr customers have been receiving a corona test and a new hairstyle with one phone call. Christian Sturmayr (37) is the managing director of the Sturmayr hairdressing brand and has a total of 19 salons with 240 employees in five Austrian federal states. The rush is enormous: According to the company, the test road is already fully booked for the first week, although 30 tests are carried out every hour.
