Gwyneth Paltrow in Court Over Skiing Hit-and-Run Incident That Left Victim Injured

Gwyneth Paltrow has made a serious slip during her day on the skis. Literally and figuratively. In 2016, she reportedly skimmed retired optometrist Terry Sanderson on a Utah slope. Instead of helping the man, Gwyneth turned and continued her descent. That while the man turned out to have “brain damage, four broken ribs, and other serious injuries”. “She got up, turned around, and skied away, while Sanderson lay stunned and badly injured in the snow,” his lawyer said. Something the Goop founder denies.

Paltrow’s ski instructor would also have taken off – or is it slatted – without helping. On top of that, he is accused of falsely filing Paltrow’s protection.

Sanderson wanted Gwyneth to cough up $ 3.1 million, but a judge already reduced that to a maximum of $ 300,000. On Tuesday, lawyers for both parties will hold their opening arguments. The trial would last eight days, Paltrow would also testify himself.
