A year of fundamental importance and pride is 2021 for Moto Guzzi, the Mandello-based manufacturer is celebrating its great ones 100 years of endless successes and is preparing for a year of celebrations, hoping that Covid-19 will finally leave the “Guzzi soul” free to celebrate this milestone properly.
One hundred years of magnificent motorcycles always built in Mandello del Lario, combining the best technologies and the most precious Italian manufacturing. Since 1921 these have been the values of Moto Guzzi, the House has brought and continues to bring so much to this town on the shores of Lake Como, and beyond, all over the world.
In compliance with such a strong tradition, the V85 TT was born, dedicated to adventurous journeys, which have always been a Moto Guzzi heritage, in their purest and most original conception, which brings to mind the strong image of competitions in deserts, such as the Paris-Dakar, the famous African race that experienced its finest moment at the turn of the eighties.
At the basis of the V85 TT project there are the essentiality, ease and practicality, typical of the enduro motorcycles of that decade, values that are being lost in an increasingly homologated market, in which the proposals favor important dimensions and weights. Moto Guzzi V85 TT, on the other hand, manages to combine a style based on the recovery of those values, with the features of a modern travel enduro. For this it deserves the title of first and only classic enduro on the market.
For 2021 Moto Guzzi presents an updated version of its best seller, born on the basis of the requests of the Guzzisti. The improvements primarily concern the engine. The construction scheme remains the exclusive one of all the Moto Guzzi bikes of current production, an air-cooled 90 ° transverse V-twin, with rod and rocker arm distribution with two valves per cylinder, the pride and tradition of the Mandello company.
The bike presents new spoked rims with tubeless tires, which together guarantee a weight saving of about 1.5 kg, reducing the unsprung masses with benefits on the already excellent driving dynamics. As for the electronic driving aid systems, the three existing Riding Modes (Road, Rain, Off-road) are flanked by two new ones (Sport, suitable for sportier driving and Custom, customizable). The cruise control and the color TFT instrumentation.
Three graphic variants novel for the V85 TT, Nero Etna, Giallo Mojave and Rosso Uluru. La V85 TT Travel incorporates all the technical updates of the V85 TT, the difference lies in the complete set-up that makes it ready for the trip, with Touring windshield, side cases from the Urban series with high capacity and reduced lateral dimensions, the pair of additional LED spotlights and the set of adjustable heated grips.
