GUNKUL profit jump Q4 / 63, latest COD 30 MW Malay power plant

Miss Sopacha Damrongpiyawut, Chief Executive Officer of GUNKUL Engineering (GUNKUL), revealed that the company has invested in Kenyir Gunkul Solar SDN BHD (KGS), which operates on-grid solar power plants. Land by KGS has successfully supplied the commercial power (COD) of the Large Scale Solar PV (LSSPV) power plant project at 29.99 megawatts (MW) in Malaysia on December 31, 2020.

LSSPV solar power plant located in the state of Terengganu, Malaysia. 29.99 megawatts, installed power of 39.0297 megawatts, and is a solar power generation and distribution project to the Electricity Authority Malaysia (Tenaga Nasional Berhad: TNB) in accordance with the 29.99 MW power purchase agreement with Feed-in tariff form at RM0.38 per kWh for a period of 21 years from COD commencement date.

Previously, the company sold the Iwakuni solar power plant project in Japan worth approximately Baht 2,863.84 million. 1,090,935,316.71 baht for the period ended December 31, 2020, providing liquidity and leverage to be used for turnover and new investments, creating higher and faster returns.

On December 18, 2020, the Company launched a commercial power distribution of 50 MW Phong Dien II Solar Power Plant Project with a Feed-in Tariff format of US $ 0.0709 per. The unit is 20 years from the date of COD.

As for the operating results for the third quarter of 2020, the net profit was 1,001 million baht, an increase from the same period last year with a profit of 958 million baht for a total of 9 months, the net profit of 1,719.58 million baht, an increase from the profit of 1,620 million baht in the same period Last year

The price of GUNKUL’s shares closed at 2.56 baht +0.04 baht or 1.59% with a trading value of 110 million baht on January 4, 2021.
