October 27 at 19.00 Concert program “Crossroads” by Mārča Auziņš and Aija Vītoliņa will be performed in the Great Hall of the Culture Palace “Ziemeļblāzma”. This concert will be a musical journey into the world of different countries, languages ​​and genres, and will bring in the wonderful voice of singer Aija Vītoliņa and the guitar arrangements of Mārčs Auziņš, which will not leave anyone indifferent. From “Carmen” in Spain to “Champs Elysees” in France, from “Cherry Rain” in Latvia to “Maria de Buenos Aires” in Argentina.

Mārcis Auziņš is one of the best-known and most virtuoso guitarists in Latvia, who performs original compositions, jazz classics and musically free improvisation flights in his concert programs, equally convincingly and vividly reflecting both his technical mastery and the guitar’s wide timbre and qualitative nuances.

In 2014, Mārcis Auziņš graduated from the Jazz Department of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in jazz guitar. In 2016, the guitarist released his first solo album “Viens”, which was nominated for the Latvian Music Record of the Year Award in the instrumental and inter-genre music nomination, and since then he has been actively playing both as a performer and as a music author and arranger.
