The Guerrero State Prosecutor’s Office (FGE) explained that it does not share the statements made by the former prosecutor Xavier Oléa Peláez on research folder started to Felix salgado for him rape crime.
He specified that said folder is under review in the General Directorate of Advisory Justice of the Prosecutor’s Office, which will definitively determine the origin or not of the criminal action in said folder.
He added in the document that he has started an investigation folder against Oléa Peláez, in order to define responsibilities in the “theft of official documentation from the FGE, dissemination of the content of an investigation folder and the failure to comply with its legal responsibility”.
In the brief, it details that Xavier Ignacio Oléa Peláez held the title of the FGE from December 2015 to April 2018, so that during that period “he was the only one empowered to decide and coordinate the investigation work and bring before the corresponding judicial instances to those likely responsible.
For this reason, the State Prosecutor’s Office indicated that “an investigation folder has been initiated in order to define its responsibility and, where appropriate, provide the information and evidence that it claims to have.
Likewise, he warned that the Prosecutor’s Office will not participate in the politicization of investigations and made it clear that the former prosecutor should have resolved this matter in accordance with his attributions and powers under the law.
