GTA Online has been loading too slowly for six years – now it’s 70 percent faster

GTA Online takes an insanely long time to load on a PC – now a fan, and not Rockstar, has found the cause.

GTA Online loading time will soon be cut by up to 70 percent

It is a bottleneck error in relation to the CPU, which has been latent for six years, which is the reason why it takes winter and spring.

The person who found the problem, t0st, proves on GitHub that this is real product, and that the error is so bad that fixing it improves the loading time by up to 70 percent.

Rockstar now says that an official bug fix is on the way, because the fix posted by t0st is certainly not the best for regular players – it is never wise to tamper with files that communicate with Rockstar’s servers anyway.

This is what Rockstar says after the revelation

“After a thorough investigation, we can confirm that the player actually revealed an aspect of the game code related to loading times for the PC version of GTA Online that could be improved. As a result of these surveys, we have made some changes that will be implemented in an upcoming update. ”

We’ve been waiting six years, so we can probably wait a little longer, and we have to as Rockstar did not promise a release date for the update.
