UIS Campus Recreation Launches Fall Group Fitness Schedule with New Classes
Springfield,IL – The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) Department of Campus Recreation is offering a robust schedule of group fitness classes for the Fall 2025 semester,beginning August 25 and running through december 6. New additions include Mat pilates and zumba, expanding options for students, faculty, staff, and retirees seeking accessible and engaging wellness opportunities.This semester’s offerings aim to cater to diverse fitness levels and schedules. Active members enjoy complimentary access to all group fitness classes, while those with limited availability can utilize the Multi-Use Pass - offering 12 visits for the price of 10 – available for purchase at the TRAC front desk. A quick lunchtime workout option is also available with Lydia’s 30-minute Lunch Crunch on Thursdays.
The Fall 2025 schedule features a variety of classes throughout the week:
mondays: Werq with Cari (starting September 8, 5:30-6:20 p.m.) and Yoga with Haley (6:30-7:20 p.m.)
Tuesdays: Kickboxing with Lydia (5:30-6:20 p.m.) and Classical Karate with Shihan Dan (6:30-7:20 p.m.)
Wednesdays: Mat Pilates with Endi (5-5:50 p.m.) and Zumba with Adriana (6:30-7:20 p.m.)
Thursdays: Lunch Crunch with Lydia (12:45-1:15 p.m.), Cycle Fit with Talon (5:30-6:20 p.m.), and Classical Karate with Shihan Dan (6:30-7:20 p.m.)
Fridays: No classes scheduled.
Saturdays: Mat Pilates with Endi (starting September 6, 11-11:50 a.m.) and Intermediate Classical Karate with Shihan Dan (2-2:50 p.m.)
