CIRCLE GROSS-GERAU – (red). Susanne Haus, President of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts in Frankfurt-Rhein-Main, asked District Administrator Thomas Will (SPD) for cooperation on common issues during her inaugural visit. That comes from a press release. “For central issues that affect craftsmen, such as the further development of vocational training or considerations about the infrastructure and framework conditions our economic sector needs in the coming years, we offer the decision-makers in the Groß-Gerau district the opportunity to actively participate in discussions to help shape the future, ”said Haus.

During her visit, the President was accompanied by master craftsman Ulrich Tögel. During the conversation, among other things, the concrete management of the corona pandemic by employers and workers in the trade was discussed, for example also about unbureaucratic and faster processing of corona aid and the topic of building permits in the Groß-Gerau district.

According to the announcement, District Administrator Will said: “We are happy to help the craft according to our possibilities, for example when it comes to applying for dual training. Corona is currently blocking the analogous paths to professional orientation. Then we just have to take the diversion via online formats. ”Conceivable are information from the district craftsmen during a school director’s service meeting or web seminars in order to reach the parents of young people.

The Chamber of Skilled Crafts Frankfurt-Rhein-Main would like to make the craft education together with the district craft associations, professional associations, vocational schools and other partners in the region sustainable. It already operates a digital platform for training and further education, the Rhein Main Campus: In the coming years, it is planning to build a new campus for vocational training. The aim here is networked cooperation between vocational schools, the various trades and partners, such as universities. A contemporary educational concept should also be developed for this.
