Dresden – According to the MDR, it has received an offer in connection with the stolen jewels from the Green Vault in Dresden.
Accordingly, the transmitter was offered one of the pieces of jewelry for sale. The providers communicated with the editors using the same encrypted email address that was said to have been used to communicate with an Israeli security company a few days ago.
Payment should be made in bitcoins. The senders even threatened to destroy the jewels. Police spokesman Heiko Perlebach (56) confirms that the Dresden Soko “Epaulette” (20 investigators) has been informed of the case.
However, it is completely unclear whether the offer actually came from the perpetrators.
At the end of November, burglars had entered the green vault in the palace in the Saxon capital through a window. Within minutes they stole historical jewelery of great value from an exhibition showcase.
Then they fled with a car. A reward of half a million euros was given for references to the unknown perpetrators.
