Green Day star Billie Joe Armstrong says he’s “renounced his citizenship” after his country’s abortion ban.

Late last week, it was announced that the US Supreme Court had overturned the Roe vs Wade decision of 50 years ago, ending abortion in the US.
Numerous people and celebrities have expressed disgust at the ruling, including Viola Davis, Billie Eilish, Michelle Obama and Lizzo.
During his Friday concert in London, Armstrong yelled “Fuck America” and told the audience he was moving to Britain.
“There’s just too much stupidity to go back there.”
This isn’t the first time the punk singer has used his concerts to protest and proclaim his political views.
He has previously berated former US President Donald Trump for “taking half the country hostage” and has made an entire album, American Idiot, in which he criticized another former president, George W. Bush, and the war in Iraq.
Yesterday, Olivia Rodrigo, who was joined onstage by a surprise performance by Lily Allen, expressed her hatred of the Supreme Court. She sang ‘Fuck You’ to them.
“I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who showed us that, after all, they really don’t care about freedom,” he said.
