Grandma doesn’t want to rush to unravel. TN.cz readers are also against it

If the third degree of the five measures came into force in the Czech Republic from next week, this would mean loosening a number of restrictions. A huge change would be the opening of all stores, which must currently be closed. At the same time, the night curfew would end and pubs and restaurants would also open under certain conditions. Although the ministers cannot agree on the process of dismantling, the Czechs are clear about this. According to a survey by the TN.cz editorial staff, people do not agree that anti-epidemic restrictions will be lifted from next week.

More than 7,000 people voted to maintain the measures, while almost 4,000 people then called for the restrictions to be relaxed.

According to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (YES), the statistics of numbers infected in the Czech Republic are not improving as the government would like. “The situation is still not good, it is important to relax thoughtfully,” said Babiš.

One is also the Minister of the Interior Jan Hamáček (CSSD), according to whom the situation is still serious. “The numbers are not falling as we would like,” Hamáček said after Wednesday’s meeting of the Central Crisis Staff, expressing doubts whether the Czechia would fall into the third degree of restrictions next week.

However, the Minister of Health Jan Blatný (for YES) sees this much more optimistically. In an interview with MF DNES, he said that the government would meet extraordinarily on Sunday, so that the dismantling could apply from Monday. In addition, it plans to “switch” the Czechia to the third level of restrictions.

Some states are relaxing the measures in place for Christmas. Find out more in the following report:
