KOMPAS.com – Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa confirmed that he did not participate in the motorcade that crashed in the Mojokerto-Kertosono Toll Road, Friday (07/10/2020).
It was posted on his Instagram account in response to a number of mistaken media news.
“I did not participate in the group procession as the headline above,” Khofifah was quoted as saying on Instagram on Friday.
The first female governor in East Java insisted that she was fine with the East Java Regional Police Chief and Brawijaya V Commander.
“Alhamdulillah, I, the Kapolda and Pangdam V Brawijaya are in good condition,” said Khofifah.
Earlier it was reported that the East Java Regional Police chief aide’s car was involved in an accident at the Mojokerto-Kertosono Toll Road on Friday afternoon.
One passenger was reportedly injured in the incident.
Information compiled Kompas.com, an accident occurred in the Mojokerto-Kertosono Toll road, precisely in KM 678 direction Surabaya.
The accident allegedly caused by a car carrying East Java Regional Police aide broke the front tire, then swerved, and crashed into the back of the passenger bus.
“But the group of the Governor’s Mother, East Java Regional Police Chief and the Military Commander took a helicopter from Ponorogo to Surabaya,” said East Java Provincial Government Head of Public Relations and Protocol, Agung Subagyo when confirmed, Friday afternoon.
The entourage of aides and protocols had just attended the visit of TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, National Police Chief General Idham Azis, and East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa to Madiun Regency and to Gontor Islamic Boarding School Ponorogo, East Java.
The three of them held a closed meeting to discuss the handling of Covid-19 in East Java.
They then visited the formidable boarding school which is Subulul Huda Kembang Sawit Islamic Boarding School in Rejosari Village, Kebonsari District.
