Government Securities Auction, Government Pockets Rp. 25.6 Trillion

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government is again auctioning off Government Securities (SUN) to patch the 2020 State Budget.

At the auction held on Tuesday (12/1/2020), the government pocketed Rp. 25.6 trillion from the proceeds SUN auction the.

“The total incoming bids amounted to Rp. 94.3 trillion,” wrote the Finance Ministry’s Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) in a press release.

The amount of funds pocketed by the government from the results of the SUN auction is greater than the indicative target of Rp. 20 trillion.

The SUN series being auctioned consisted of 7 series, namely SPN12210304, SPN12211202, FR0086, FR0087, FR0080, FR0083 and FR0076.

The SUN sales will be carried out using the auction system organized by Bank Indonesia. The auction is open in nature (open auction), using the multiple price method.

Previously, the government pocketed IDR 24.6 trillion from the auction of Government Securities (SUN) on Tuesday (17/11/2020). This figure is smaller than the number of incoming bids.
