Government requests extension to include minors in vaccination against COVID – El Financiero

The federal government, through the Ministry of Health, requested an extension to comply with a judge’s order to modify the National Vaccination Policy (PNV) against COVID-19 and include all people between 12 and 17 years of age. of age, regardless of their health.

Claudia Gámez Galindo, secretary of the Seventh District Court residing in the State of Mexico, has not yet resolved whether to grant said extension to the health authorities.

It was the deputy director of Administrative Resources, attached to the Office of the Attorney General of the Ministry of Health, who notified the steps that are being carried out to comply with the provisional suspension granted to the minor of initials RAGA, so that the vaccine against SARS-CoV-2.


“Please agree to what is appropriate, regarding the extension referred to by the responsible authority in order to comply with the provisional precautionary measure granted, regarding the update and / or addition of the National Vaccination Policy against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.” says a published agreement.

The minors have been given the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine, until now the only one authorized for this sector of the population.

The secretary acting as judge ordered the coordinator of the Special Brigades in the State of Mexico to notify the seat, date and time in which the minor will be vaccinated within 48 hours.

He recalled that failure to comply with the precautionary measure implies the crime of abuse of authority, so any violation will result in the Federal Public Ministry agent being given a hearing.
