Nice can thank Gouiri! Recruited for 7 million euros from Lyon, the striker signed a double on two marvels of strikes to allow the Gym to win against Lens (2-1) this Sunday as part of the 1st day of the League 1.

A success obtained behind closed doors and against the course of the game against the promoted, who showed better things.

Kakuta and Lens start strong

Without complexes, the Sang et Or settled in the Niois camp from the start of the game. Man of the match: Amine Gouiri (8/10)

By recruiting him for 7 million euros Lyon, Nice undoubtedly had a lot of nose! While his team did not show much tonight, the striker offers the 3 points to the Gym on two superb strikes. Logical since the danger almost systematically came from him, who dropped out a lot to suggest solutions and obtained several faults. And to think that he had never scored in Ligue 1 before… A first of the most promising.

NICE

Walter Benitez (6) : Powerless on the penalty perfectly shot by Kakuta even if he started on the right side, the Argentine goalkeeper then recalled how precious he is with his decisive stop in front of Banza and then his saving interventions when Lens pushed to the end.

Jordan Lotomba (4.5) : a first mixed for the right lateral. Holder in the absence of Atal, the Swiss rookie showed a lot of desire, but he sometimes lacked accuracy and left spaces behind his back. Replace the 90th + 1 minute with Patrick Burner (non not).

Robson Bamboo (4) : recruited for 8 million euros, the central defender had a complicated first official match. Beaten in the duel on the action that brings the penalty, the Brazilian is still ahead of Ganago on a big occasion. More present in the duels then and interesting in the construction but injured the thigh and replaced the 32nd minute by Andy Pelmard (5), which alternated the good and the not so good, the image of a sharp intervention in the surface in front of Ganago then of an important duel lost vis-a-vis Banza on a big occasion.

Dante (5) : put in difficulty with this penalty, certainly severe, whistled against him, the captain Azuren took a long time to recover before picking up the thread a little bit as a game he ended with more authoritarian interventions.

Hassane Kamara (6) : very accomplice with Gouiri, the image of his role on the first goal, the left side was the main offensive threat with his compre on the Azure side. Its mounts and centers have brought danger, even if the old Rmois sometimes showed waste. Defensively, however, several of his interventions lacked accuracy.

Khphren Thuram (5,5) : very present in the pressing, the midfielder signed spurts forward and throws that did his team good, even if he was rarely able to enchant, for lack of movement around him. Replace the 67th minute with Dan Ndoye (non not).

Morgan Schneiderlin (4.5) : for his first in an official match with Nice, the midfielder still seemed short of pace, he who lost some vital balls. We would have liked to see him stimulate more movements. An interesting leadership role, however, with instructions frequently addressed to his teammates.

Pierre Lees-Melou (5.5) : in the shadows, the midfielder has made his match and he also finds himself involved on both goals. His run offers Gouiri space on the first, then it is he who recovers the ball and serves the attacker on the second.

Alexis Claude-Maurice (4) : despite multiple races and a lot of goodwill, the winger has difficulty weighing on this match. His rat control deprived Nice of a first chance early in the game, and he then struggled to make the differences, often ending up with a pass backwards. Replace the 90th + 1 minute with Eddy Sylvestre (non not).

Kasper Dolberg (3,5) : Forced to drop out due to the lack of movement of his team, the center forward fought well but the duels rarely turned in his favor. A difficult part during which he had no opportunity to put his teeth in and which saw him lose several dangerous balls. Replace the 90th + 1 minute with Evann Guessand (non not).

LENS

Jean-Louis Leca (4) : frustrating match for the Lensois goalkeeper who had almost nothing to do but who bowed on two jewels. With his recovery in the axis, he also has his share of responsibilities on the second goal conceded.

Jonathan Gradit (6) : solid match from the central defender, rarely faulted and who communicated well with his teammates at the central hinge.

Loc Bad (6) : a good presence for the defector from Le Havre who imposed his power in the duels and closed the spaces well. Benitez turns his head at the end of the game.

Facundo Axel Medina (5) : impressive authority in the duels and author of good anticipations, the central defender almost delivered the perfect match until his loss of the ball against Lees-Melou who offers the second goal Gouiri. The Argentinian will also have to be wary of his excess commitment in certain situations.

Clement Michelin (5.5) : big debauchery of activity from the right piston, in the oven and in the mill, except for a more timid start to the game. We felt him gain confidence as the match progressed and his crosses brought danger to the end.

Yannick Cahuzac (5) : back among the elite, the northerner captain posted his usual commitment, which allowed him to scavenge several balls but also to collect a yellow card upon returning from the locker room for a late tackle on Lees-Melou.

Cheick Oumar Doucour (4) : very present in the pressing early in the game, the midfielder doubled the catches with his partners, but he tended to weaken during the match.

Ismal-Ben Boura (6) : holder in the absence of Hadara, the young left piston represents a good surprise. Like his Michelin right-hand counterpart, the Lensois won the defensive climbs and retreats with efficiency. Replace the 77th minute with Issiaga Sylla (non not).

Gal Kakuta (7) : the defector from Amiens had heart to shine for his first official match with his training club and it was felt. Quickly scorer from the penalty spot, the attacking midfielder hurt the Niois with quick attacks when his passes broke the lines. He could have ended with a decisive pass if Ganago had shown more realism. Replace the 67th minute with Tony Mauricio (non not).

Florian Sotoca (5) : a good match for the attacker, mobile, and who fought on the whole front of the attack. He won two duels on the action of the penalty and imposed constant pressing. He will only have missed one goal. Replace the 60th minute with Corentin Jean (not rated).

Ignatius Ganago (6) : against his former club, the striker started strong by obtaining a penalty, certainly with success. Rather interesting in the game, the image of his changes with Kakuta, he will however lack edge in the zone of truth, the image of his big rat 1-0. Replace the 60th minute with Simon Banza (non not).
