The programs of the 20th Thuringia School Film Week from 14 to 25 November 2022 have been finalized. Almost all state cinemas, including Cineplex Gotha, participate in Germany’s largest film education project. In addition to the regular schedule with over 500 film events, there are numerous interviews with directors, film seminars with media educators, and special film series with experts on a wide variety of topics.

As the organizers of the school film week keep reporting, the demand from teachers is very high and some events are already fully booked. This year, the Gotha Cineplex program includes the animated film “Yakari”, the documentary “Caught in the Net” and the award-winning drama “Rabiye Kurnaz vs. George W. Bush”. Ronald Bellstedt, president of Gotha’s Nature Conservation Union, wants to discuss the film “Heimat Natur” with schoolchildren on Wednesday, November 16 at 9:30 am in the film series for “Science Year 2022 – Asked!”

The free accompanying teaching material will be sent to teachers after registration. Information and programs below www.schulkinowoche-th-st.de.
