Police chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo rotated a number of high-ranking officers (Pati) in the Bhayangkara Corps. One of them, Inspector General (Irjen) Eko Indra Heri who was removed from his position as South Sumatra Police Chief (South Sumatra).
The decision was contained in a telegram numbered ST/1701/VIII/KEP./2021. He was placed as Korsahli Kapolri and was replaced by the Head of the West Sumatra Police, Inspector General Tomi Harmanto
He was previously involved in the polemic of a Rp2 trillion grant from the family of Akidi Tio, who was donated funds for handling Covid-19 in the area. This donation has never been realized. Some people say that the attractions shown by the South Sumatra Police Chief and Akidi Tio are like a national prank.
The National Police Headquarters also sent an internal inspection team to conduct an investigation and deepening of Eko who is in South Sumatra. The inspection is complete when the report is prepared to be submitted to the National Police Chief.
However, until now there has been no complete information from the National Police Headquarters regarding the results of the internal examination that has been carried out.
Pati Polri who was born in Palembang, November 23, 1964, is an experienced figure in the field of HR. Prior to serving as Kapolda in his place of birth, he was Assistant to the National Police Chief for Human Resources.
From the information gathered, Eko graduated from the Police Academy in 1988. He started his officer career as Kasat I/Pidum Dit Reskrim Polda Sumsel in 2003. Later, he was placed as Kapolres in several places, namely Lahat in 2005 and Kapolres Demak in 2007.
Then, he began to serve a lot as a retainer of HR in the Police. For example, in 2011 he served as Karo HR of the Lampung Regional Police. Then, Middle Policy Analyst for Watpers SSDM Polri in 2012.
Lapse of a year later, he was placed as Kabagpencompetent Robinkar SSDM Polri. His career is still developing, in 2014 he served as Kabagren of Rojianstra SSDM Polri.
Until finally he broke and became a Brigadier General in 2017 when he was trusted as Karobinkar SSDM Polri. Then, in 2018 he was promoted to the position of HR Assistant to the National Police Chief. This position earned him the rank of Inspector General (Irjen) alias two stars.
Then, he was placed as the South Sumatra Police Chief in 2020.
In addition to a career in the Bhayangkara Corps, he is also a professor who became a professor at the Police College (STIK-PTIK). He was officially inaugurated on June 21, 2021.
