Gordon said the operation would be “too heavy”. The 52-year-old has been struggling with type 2 diabetes for about fourteen years. Because the presenter cannot go to the Netherlands for the operation, he moved to Belgium. In our southern neighbors they also operate on people with a BMI below 35, something that is not common in the Netherlands.
“It’s just up and down, I can’t get it under control. It really rocks back and forth,” he said earlier at the table with Gert Verhulst and James Cooke. “This has purely to do with diabetes. Living with diabetes… It is possible to live with it, but it is so intense for me.”
Gordon will soon be making a program in Belgium. His programs on SBS have not been very high in the ratings list lately, all his bank account numbers are more important to him.
