Russia withdrew his troops from Snake Island, Ukraine, today, Thursday (30/6). They said the troop withdrawal was a symbol of good faith so that Ukraine could export agricultural products.

“On June 30, in good faith, the Russian armed forces completed their work on Snake Island and withdrew the garrison there,” the statement said. AFP.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense said the withdrawal proved to the world that “Russia has not hindered the efforts of the United Nations to establish a humanitarian corridor for the delivery of agricultural products from Ukraine.”

Russia took this decision after Ukraine pounded the Red Bear Country’s troops on the island in the Black Sea.

Moscow insists that “the ball is now in Ukraine’s hands.” According to them, Ukraine has never cleared the area of ​​land mines.

On the other hand, Ukraine celebrates the departure of these Russian troops. Ukraine’s presidential adviser, Andryi Yermak, also praised his country’s armed forces.

“KABOOM! No more Russian soldiers on Snake Island. Our Armed Forces are great,” Yermak said via Twitter.

Southern Ukraine’s military command later announced that Russian troops “evacuated the rest of its granaries in a hurry” from the island “as a result of our missile and artillery attacks.”

During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Snake Island was in the spotlight because it was one of the main areas for wheat export traffic from that country.

Ukraine accused Russia of stealing grain from a number of irregularities units, including on Snake Island. The theft then triggered a global food shortage.
