Goodbye, LG has released a smartphone that comes with the latest innovations

Jakarta, Selular.ID – South Korean vendor LG Electronics disclosed that it had stopped its loss-making cellular division in recent years. This official decision makes LG the first major smartphone brand to completely withdraw from the market.

However, if you examine LG’s activities in the smartphone industry, this vendor cannot be considered an ordinary player, because LG has presented a number of smartphones with the latest innovations.

Commemorating LG’s contribution to the smartphone business, here are the innovative smartphones LG has made.

LG G5

The LG G5 is a smartphone that is different from the other series, because LG uses a modular smartphone, an area that only a few manufacturers dare to do. The G5 has a so-called Magic Slot which allows the user to remove the bottom of the phone and exchange it for an additional accessory.

LG calls these accessories LG Friends. One of these add-ons is the LG Cam Plus which features hardware camera controls such as a physical shutter button, camcorder button, and zoom button. The add-on also has an internal battery, thus increasing the total battery capacity of the phone.

However, this series is not present in Indonesia, as a substitute, LG presents the G5 SE, the reason is that it is more suitable for the Indonesian market. The price is also more competitive than the LG G5, which is Rp. 1 million more expensive. In Indonesia, this series is priced at IDR 8 million, and was released in 2016.

The LG G5 SE also supports interchangeable hardware modules at the bottom of the device. This module can add functionality to the device and is also compatible with the proprietary LG G5. There are only two types of modules available, namely a camera module to increase the handgrip area and battery capacity and an audio module to improve the quality of the sound output.

LG G Flex

The LG G Flex is a revolutionary one, thanks to its curved, flexible display. One of the selling points of this smartphone is of course the flexible curved screen. The dimensions of this smartphone itself are quite large, the screen measures 6 inches (720 x 1280 pixels) and the body measures 160.5 x 81.6 x 8.7 mm. As for the weight reaches 177 grams. This smartphone carries a unibody design, so the back cover cannot be removed.

Other interesting features of the LG G Flex include rear mounted power and volume buttons as well as a rear-mounted IR blaster that lets you control electronic equipment by holding the phone upright, rather than horizontally like a normal remote control.

The performance sector of the LG G Flex is entrusted to the Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset with a Quad-core 2.26 GHz Krait 400 processor combined with 2 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, an internal storage memory with a capacity of 32 GB is provided as a medium for storing files, without a slot for microSD.

LG V10

LG is nothing new in dual screens, the LG V10 is another example of the Korean manufacturer’s obsession with dual screens. This flagship launched in 2015 has two overlapping screens. The main screen is a 5.7-inch QHD display and on top of it is a smaller 2.1-inch touchscreen in addition to the dual selfie cameras.

This series display uses an IPS LCD main screen measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels with a screen density of 515 ppi. Then, the second screen on the LG V10 is placed above the main screen with a smaller size, which is 2.1 inches. When the main screen is off, additional screens can display weather, time and date information, and battery capacity.

In addition, the screen found on the LG V10 is also equipped with MIL-STD-810G certification which makes it quite resistant to shocks. Just like other premium class flasghip smartphones, the LG V10 specifications are also equipped with Fingerprint Sensors to protect user privacy. Finally, on the screen protection section comes the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection system which will provide perfect protection for the screen.

With the main display, now in landscape, you can access the smaller 3.9-inch secondary display. When opened, the LG Wing looks like a capital “T”. You can hold the phone in this mode or flip it over, so that the bigger screen is at the bottom. This smartphone user can watch YouTube videos on the main screen while browsing comments on the second screen.

LG Wing

The design of the LG Wing is indeed different, even compared to the folding cellphones on the market today. This phone has two screens, one of which can be rotated up to 90 degrees. In basic mode or the secondary screen position is not rotated, the LG Wing will look like a smartphone in general, it’s just thicker than other smartphones.

The main screen is larger, which is 6.8 inches with Full HD Plus resolution (2,460 x 1,080). The type of panel used is P-OLED with an aspect ratio of 20.5: 9 and a resolution of 1,240 x 1,080. The back of the main screen is coated with a thermoplastic material which is said to protect the inner screen from scratches. Some hydraulic dampers are used to reduce pressure when the secondary screen is turned upwards to form the letter “T”. On the back of the main screen, there are three cameras, each with a resolution of 64 MP (f / 1.8), 13 MP ultra wide (f / 1.9), and 12 MP ultra wide big pixel (f / 2.2). This phone also adopts a pop-up selfie camera with a resolution of 32 MP (f / 1.9).

This is because the screen frames on the top and bottom are not too thick. The swivel screen design applied to the LG Wing is made with the hope of making multitasking easier on smartphones.

LG claims that the rotated screen will last up to 200,000 turns with an average of 100 movements per day for five years. For hardware, the LG Wing is powered by the Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset combined with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal. Storage capacity can be expanded up to 2 TB using microSD. The battery has a capacity of 4,000 mAh and is supported by Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology and the NFC feature. For the device security system, the LG Wing is equipped with an on-screen fingerprint scanner. This phone runs the Android 10 operating system. There are two colors available, namely Aurora Gray and Illusion Sky.
