Good Trip to Cuba magazine at the London tourism fair

We want our subscribers to be aware of everything that can be a reason for a trip to Cuba, commented Mara Roque, editor of the publication, in statements to Prensa Latina.

Roque explained that the latest issue of the year of the magazine circulates in digital format, and in English, and its central theme is the appeal to “rethink tourism” launched by the World Tourism Organization after the new reality that emerged after the pandemic. COVID-19.

At the London fair, in addition to the magazine published by the Spanish publisher Lugares de América, a fortnightly electronic newsletter in English was also presented, aimed at tour operators, travel agencies and other players in the tourism sector in the United Kingdom and Canada.

From now on we have news every 15 days in the languages of the main tourism broadcasters in Cuba, which will be able to keep up to date through a free subscription on the main events and tourist offers of the Caribbean island, Roque stressed.

According to the editor, the switch to digital format allows the magazine to be updated to the same extent that travel agencies, tour operators and hotel groups have to enter the information they are interested in disclosing.

Buen Viaje in Cuba transforms itself according to the fair it attends, and being digital, everything fits into it until the day before closing, he said.

The publication, whose number zero was presented at the WTM in London in 2008, circulates in six languages at around 14 world tourism events and fairs throughout the year, but its content varies according to the interests of each market.

With a long-standing presence in Cuba, the Lugares de América publishing house is also responsible for the annual edition of the Directory of Events, which according to Roque is a reason to travel to the Caribbean island, beyond traditional sun and beach tourism. .

More than three thousand representatives of the so-called smoking industry from one hundred countries participate in the London fair that ends this Wednesday, with a focus on promoting sustainable tourism, respectful of the environment and local traditions.
