Good news for Wopke Hoekstra: son officially declared cured after tumor | Inland

“After chemotherapy and surgery, we were overjoyed that he was ‘in remission’ afterwards; the tumor was cleaned up to the last cell,” Hoekstra writes on Instagram. “But you are only officially cured if the cancer actually stays away in the following five years.”

The big day had arrived today: the baby had his last check-up. “With good, very good, excellent news at the end of the morning,” writes Hoekstra. In his message, he thanks all doctors and nurses in the Princess Maxima Center and the UMC Groningen ‘for all the good care’.
