In September, 100 percent must be constantly available.”
So those who are the victim of phishing can now also contact most banks during the weekend or in the evening, via e-mail or by telephone. “The banks guarantee that your e-mail will be read immediately and that they will immediately take action and block your bank account and app,” says the state secretary.
For the time being, as a customer you still have to go to the website of your own bank to find the correct e-mail address or telephone number. There is not yet a common number like Cardstop’s. “In the long run, it is also the intention for that service to move towards one system, one umbrella contact for all banks,” emphasizes De Bleekere.
