Gold declined in Egypt

Gold prices continue to fluctuate locally since the beginning of the week, in light of the decline in the price of gold globally at a time when the local markets are witnessing a gradual increase in demand for gold to take advantage of the recent decline in the prices of the precious metal, according to Gold Billion.

The gradual rise permeated by the fluctuation in gold prices comes in light of the increasing domestic demand for gold again after the wave of decline that lasted for nearly 3 weeks, which reached gold prices to declining levels at 2200 pounds per gram, which led to purchases again to take advantage of the falling price.

At the same time, the price of the global ounce is witnessing a decline during the current period in light of the different expectations about the future of US monetary policy, which causes fluctuation in gold prices locally and indicates that the local pricing of gold has come close to matching the global pricing.

This was one of the most important goals of the recent initiatives taken by the concerned authorities, such as allowing gold imports without customs or fees, and reducing the value of workmanship on gold artifacts, in order to increase the local supply of gold and reduce the demand for bullion and gold coins.
