Gold prices are currently witnessing a state of fluctuation in prices between high and low, due to the US elections, the US Congress’s approval of Joe Biden’s victory and the imposition of a curfew in the American capital, which caused concern among investors in the yellow metal stock exchange.
Head of the Gold Division at the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Dr. Ihab Wassef, stated that the present time is considered suitable for buying gold as he classifies all times as suitable for buying the yellow metal even in times of high prices.
He explained that the price of 24-carat gold ranges between 926 and 928 pounds, while the price of 21-carat gold ranges between 810 and 813 pounds, and 18-carat ranges between 694 and 696 pounds.
As for the price of gold at the global level, it rose today to recover from its lowest level in six weeks, and gold in spot transactions rose 0.8% to $ 1860.10 an ounce, as prices touched their lowest levels since last month, and US gold futures won 0.5% to $ 1860.
