Düsseldorf / Krefeld. At the state championships in Krefeld the juniors Leonardo Ciccotti, Laurin Mückshoff, Mats Winkels and Maurice Krutwage from the rowing club Germania Düsseldorf 1904 eV rowed to gold, the eighth and controlled fours to silver. The men’s double scull just barely missed the bronze medal.

After the preliminary victory of the U19 double foursome with Leonardo Ciccotti, Laurin Mückshoff, Mats Winkels and Maurice Krutwage, the goal was clear. And it was enough. Gold went to the RCGD team, silver and bronze to the teams from Krefeld (winner of the other preliminary run) and Cologne.

Silver also went to the RCGD in the controlled U19 foursome. Ben Wolke, Nathan Quelle, Simeon Falger, Hendrik Weskamp and helmsman Magdalena Hallay crossed the finish line a good second behind the boat from Münster. Bronze went to the rowers from Bonn.

Together they were only less than a second short of gold in the U17 / U19 eighth finish – in a very tight finish between the first four boats. Here, too, the team from Münster was ahead, bronze went to the teams from Essen, fourth place to the eighth from Bonn.

The U19 twos Nathan Quelle / Ben Wolke and Simeon Falger / Hendrik Weskamp made it to the finals as a younger age group, where they finished fifth and sixth.

There was a special combination in the men’s double scull. Lars Menzel (19 years old) drove together with “player-trainer” Steven Tischer to fourth place after finishing second in the finals. The two U17 lightweights Filip Gronebaum and Arthur Bourdaire finished fourth and fifth in the lead.
