Goalkeeper David Ivanov signs a professional contract and guarantees to be inspired by Adán – Sporting

He is 16 years old, belongs to the 2006 generation and his immediate objective is to win a new under-17 title.

A lion since the 2019/20 season, David Ivanov, a goalkeeper who is now 16 years old, has signed a professional contract with Sporting, the lions revealed this Tuesday.

International for the youth teams of the National Team (under-16 and under-17), he has also been highlighted this season by the leonine youth team, where in 11 games he left the goal zero on six occasions.

“It’s a very good feeling, because I’m signing a contract with the club that I like and that believed in me. I work every day so that moments like this mark my professional life”, assured the footballer recruited from FC Maia Lidador, club which placed him… 300 kilometers from the Academy: “I didn’t see my parents every day and sometimes not every month, but on the other hand I’m doing what I love most, living my dream.”

To the club’s media, the goalkeeper, who has dual nationality (he is also Russian) continued with his inspirations: “I really like Adán, he is a goalkeeper in whom I try to inspire myself, but I also really like to see Diego Callai, who is younger.”

About himself, he is short and direct, guaranteeing that he has “good footwork”, for his “mentality and self-confidence”, but also in the chapter of “defending the goal”, he said, before pointing to his immediate objective, to be champion again nationally for the under-17s.

Finally, a message for the fans: “I will always respond with work and I will fight for Sporting until the end!”.
