Jumper Daniel Deußer celebrated his second victory in the Global Champions Tour.

Hesse, who live in Belgium, prevailed in the New York Grand Prix after being the best in qualifying. With his stallion Tobago, he was the last to enter the jump-off and established the fastest run in a penalty-free time of 41.07 seconds. Deußer received 100,000 euros for his victory.

In the Champions Tour, Deußer had already climbed to the top step of the podium with bingo in Cannes. A few days ago he also won the Spruce Meadows tournament, in Canada, with his mare Killer Queen. For Tobago it was only the fourth tournament after a hiatus. “I am very happy and proud that Tobago is finally getting back in shape and I hope I can have some more fun,” said Deusser.

Only four runners were standing on the springboard in New York. Canadian Pieter Devos finished second in 41.15 seconds. Swede Malin Baryard-Johnsson secured third place. Marcus Ehning (Borken) finished 11th with Priam du Roset after four penalties. Hans-Dieter Dreher (Eimeldingen / 12 errors)) finished 27th with Elysium.
