Can you tell us how you got started in the jewelry business?
-Everything started a bit by chance when I brought out all the treasures from my jewelry box. I got caught up in the game of repairing, transforming, customizing those I no longer wore in order to give them a second life. Thus was born the desire to create my own jewelry! To be able to choose every detail, select pearls and semi-precious stones, favor quality and durable materials …
I did this primarily for fun for my loved ones and me. Subsequently after learning the various techniques essential to creation, I decided to make it my activity.
– Who is Karlotta?
– Karlotta is the nickname given to me by my grandparents, of Italian origin, when I was little. When I created my brand, it was obvious that I gave it this name but with a K to give it a modern touch.
– Was it a vocation?
– Nothing predestined me in this direction, but the desire and the pleasure of creating every day has become essential! Always in search of creativity, material, diversifying in styles has become a real driving force on a daily basis.
– What is the most difficult in this environment?
– It’s about making yourself known, even if social networks offer an excellent showcase, you still have to know how to master your tools which have become essential to communicate today.
Thanks to the invaluable help of the island bloggers, day after day the Karlottabijoux adventure comes to life and develops, it helps me a lot to highlight my creations because Corsica is full of talented creators!
– What are you inspired by and how can you reinvent yourself?
– I am inspired by current trends but also by past fashions, from the jewelry of our grandmothers to more contemporary jewelry.
Being able to give free rein to your imagination, your desires according to the seasons: this is what I like with the creation of jewelry.
You have to constantly question yourself and learn to get out of your comfort zone to renew yourself.
– Corsica plays a role in this beautiful project?
– Corsica obviously plays a role in this great project because I started here in Bastia and I can count on a loyal and local clientele with whom I like to chat every day. I often ask people who follow me on Instagram for their creations for their opinion. I show them prototypes not yet online and if they want to see them on the site. This sharing and these exchanges between us constitute a precious help to evolve and best meet their desires.
– What are your current collaborations?
– I am part of the project of a Valentine’s Day box, which is currently marketed on Instagram, in collaboration with the Poly Fairy and Océane Baldocchi. A very pretty gourmet box to offer to your other half with a large white chocolate heart as a case, containing a jewelry (of your choice from the selection) and a little note to personalize.
The box is also available in a Mixed version (for men) with jewelry from the designer of La Malle d’Annalia with her flagship jewelry: the socket.
The work of chocolate by the Fairy Poly is just sublime and I invite you to discover her universe!
I also collaborate with Lucille Lrd for the Figurabox. For this box we have thought together of an exclusive jewelry! This will only be available in the Figura Box! A nice surprise to discover very soon!
– What are your points of sale? Online sales ?
– In the Bastia region, you can find some of my creations at the Gloria boutique, the concept store for island designers, then Fioralisu in Algajola and at Vestis in Propriano.
And directly on my website www.karlottabijoux.fr where you can find all of my collections, with stock and rapid processing of your orders.
Shipments are followed with care and meticulousness and this allows me to personalize each order. I come a lot to Corsica, to the continent but also to Belgium and Luxembourg.

– A flagship piece –
– If there is a flagship piece I would say the Evy bracelet, a delicate bracelet with a protective eye, a jewel that made me known and which has today become a timeless one of my collections!
Currently I am offering an ephemeral Santa Madonna collection, colorful and spangled Madone necklaces available only once per color for a unique jewel.
– Do you have any plans for “Karlotta”?
– Lots of projects for karlottabijoux, whether through new collaborations and the creation of a collection exclusively from my designs. Karlottabijoux is a great daily adventure that grows with me: I learn it every day and I like to evolve in this direction.
