For S&P, the following factors were decisive for the first-class rating of Graubündner Kantonalbank: The very strong capitalization supported by stable earnings, despite the recession caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The market leadership in the home market and the close relationship with the Canton of Graubünden due to its majority stake and the state guarantee also contributed to the excellent rating.
S & P’s outlook for GKB’s development is stable. In its rating, the rating agency refers, among other things, to the future-proof and robust positioning of the bank, combined with high equity.
