Give Assistance, BRI Technical Assistance Team Office in Bank Bukopin Page all

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.comBank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Technical Assistance Team is optimistic that the assistance efforts will be able to recover the liquidity problems experienced by Bank Bukopin.

The Head of the Technical Assistance Team, Johanes Kuntjoro Adisardjono also asked the community and customers to remain calm during the recovery process.

He stressed that maximum efforts were also being made by all parties, including Bank Bukopin’s management, shareholders and regulators.

“Our hope, the public and customers remain calm and not worry too much because the recovery process is ongoing. We are optimistic that conditions will improve,” he said in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday (6/28/2020).

Currently, the Bank BRI Technical Assistance Team has been actively working to support Bank Bukopin since June 18, 2020 to follow up on the Financial Services Authority letter on June 11, 2020.

In the letter, OJK asked BRI to provide assistance to Bank Bukopin, which is experiencing liquidity and bank operational problems.

The team has its office at Bank Bukopin’s Head Office and communicates with management regarding strategic steps that need to be taken immediately to resolve the problem.

Johanes emphasized that liquidity management was the main concern of the Technical Assistance Team, so monitoring bank cash flow was a priority.

In managing liquidity, the Team also communicated intensely with the regulators so that it was hoped that the best solution in maintaining liquidity stability could be realized soon.

“We are optimistic that we can complete the task well and hope that Bank Bukopin can recover, of course, with the help of all parties,” he said.

Regarding BRI’s assistance, Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPP HIPMI), Anggawira is optimistic that this plan can go well to restore Bank Bukopin.

He added that the inclusion of assistance assistance is the first step to revive bank liquidity which is also a source of capital for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives.
