Givaudan: the EU authorizes the creation of a joint venture – 06/17/2022 at 13:25

( – The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the creation of a joint venture between Estavayer Lait, Givaudan and Bühler, all three based in Switzerland.

The joint venture, Cultured Food Innovation Hub, will provide facilities and knowledge to accelerate the research and development work of companies wishing to become active in the cultured meat, fish and seafood sectors, as well as precision fermentation.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise any competition concerns, given the absence of overlaps or vertical links between the companies’ activities.
