Gioka Music vindicates the electronic scene in Cali

While salsa as a genre is ubiquitous in Cali, other musical scenes are erupting with unalterable force. One such scene is the electronics. Proof of them is that 5 artists of this genre in the city reached the Beatport Top 100 in various categories, the platform that measures sales positions and is an important benchmark in the electronic music industry.

These 5 artists are Kamilo Sanclemente, Giovanny Aparicio, Dabeat, Mauro Aguirre and Zalvador. Each one with their style has managed to excel in either progressive house, melodic techno or deep organic house.

Additionally, Giovanny Aparicio and Kamilo Sanclemente not only stand out on the list, but also confirm the importance of teamwork with the positioning of their project Gioka Music.

“Giovanny Aparicio has a musical style deeply rooted in the earthly, in the ancestral with many shamanic nuances, with a very ancient vibe, with very organic sounds. While Kamilo Sanclemente’s style is totally opposite, it is a sidereal, futuristic, spatial, cosmic sound. That is why our proposal becomes very interesting when these two aspects merge “says Kamilo.

The fusion results in an organic, progressive and melodic house, influenced by eurodance and trance. Listening to each of his songs becomes a kind of spiritual ritual for the listener.

While Giovanny already tried his luck at Ibiza Camp at the Burning Man Festival and at Casa Malca in Tulum, and has chatted with world-class DJs; Kamilo was named by DJ Mag Latin America as one of the 10 Latin artists to follow, in addition to releasing music on prestigious labels such as The Soundgarden, Parquet, Manual Music, Beatfreak, among others.

On April 23, Kamilo will be part of the poster that will accompany Emi Galván, one of the greatest exponents of progressive house worldwide, at La Première Cali. There will also be other prominent Cali DJs such as Mauro Aguirre, Dabeat and Zalvador.
