The mayor of GijónAna González has advanced that the city beaches are not going to open this Monday, May 25, although it will be allowed if Asturias goes to phase 2 of the de-escalation, since it still the measures are not decided to watch over the security before him coronavirus.
“I am not going to open the beaches on the 25th,” assured the councilor at a telematic press conference in which he explained that the Consistory will open the beaches as soon as possible but not now since they are working “at high speeds” for its opening in the third phase. Also, the goal is to open only beaches urban (San Lorenzo, Poniente and El Arbeyal), since there is no capacity to be in all the beaches of the coast.
