Today Gianni Morandi is married to Anna Danwith whom he had his son Pietro in 1997. Before meeting his current wife, however, he was married to another woman, the actress Laura Efrikian. The couple remained together from 1966 to 1979. They have two children with her, Marco and Marianna, who until 2009 were married to Biagio Antonacci.
In reality, however, there would also be another daughter born from this first marriage of the Emilian singer-songwriter, the eldest daughter Serena. The baby was born in 1967, but unfortunately she died after a few hours. So he told the story:
“Laura Efrikian and I were expecting a daughter, it would be our first daughter. She was supposed to give birth in February, but there was this advance and I was participating in the Canzonissima of ’66 which ended on January 6, ’67. Just the night before, Laura was hospitalized urgently and unfortunately the child only lived 8 hours. I think it was a great pain especially for her and also for me ”.
