SP.A chairman Conner Rousseau announced in early September that the party name will be changed to Vooruit. Normally that would happen next month, but it has now been postponed to the beginning of next year.
The planned name change immediately met a protest at the Vooruit arts center, which did not want to bear the same name as a political party. As a playful action, the name on the facade was temporarily changed to Kolruit in September. There were also threats of legal action, but with today’s announcement, the dispute seems to be settled.
