Ghana: resumption of international flights from September 1

#Other countries : Ghana will resume international flights from September 1, as part of a gradual lifting of measures to fight the novel coronavirus pandemic.

“Delighted to announce that Kotoka International Airport (KIA) will resume operations from September 1,” Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo said on Sunday in a nationwide speech, noting that this decision has been communicated to all international airlines.

“Passengers arriving in Ghana will be required to provide the result of the PCR test produced within 72 hours maximum before traveling to Ghana, in addition to another test that will be carried out on site, the result of which will be available within 30 minutes,” said let the head of state know.

Children under the age of five will not be tested for Covid19.

However, the country’s land and sea borders will remain closed until further notice, said the head of state.
