GFCA Football Team Calls for Tough Measures Against Ex-President

The Marseille Criminal Court has requested 18 months in prison as well as the revocation of a six-month reprieve against Olivier Miniconi. The former president of Gazélec d’Ajaccio was tried for “hidden work”.

Friday March 31, Olivier Miniconi appeared before the sixth chamber of the Marseille criminal court. The former president of the GFCA was tried for “concealed work”.

Against him, the public prosecutor requested 18 months in prison (with a deferred committal warrant) and the revocation of a six-month reprieve, which would bring the sentence to two years.

The public prosecutor also asked for a fine of 20,000 euros.

On March 15, the Marseille Criminal Court sentenced two other former presidents of the GFCA for concealment of misuse of corporate assets and concealed work. If Mathieu Messina-Arrighi appealed this decision, Christophe Ettori waived it.

The case of Olivier Miniconi had been disjointed for “medical reasons” and returned to this Friday, March 31.

The decision concerning him has been reserved for April 11 at 8:30 a.m.
