Gets Ronaldo’s Jersey, 11-Year-Old Girl Fines IDR 47 Million

11-year-old girl Addison Whelan has been fined £2,500 after getting the jersey Cristiano Ronaldo in the duel Republic of Ireland vs Portugal from 2022 World Cup Qualification, Friday (12/11) morning WIB.

The Ireland vs Portugal match was held at the Aviva Stadium on the seventh matchday of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.

After the game Addison forced his way into the field and ran to Ronaldo. The girl then asked the Manchester United striker for a jersey.

However, quoted from Mirror, Addison admitted to receiving a fine of Rp47.7 million as a result of entering the field.

“I was fined for running into the field. My father paid for it,” Addison said.

Previously Addison told RTE Radio 1’s Morning Ireland. He told the chronology of entering the field to getting the CR7 jersey.

Addison said he jumped over the barrier by sitting in the second row in the stands. Then the girl ran into the field and managed to avoid the pursuit of two guards.

Only, Addison was not as lucky as the previous stage. While in the middle of the field he was arrested by officers.

“Then I just shouted Ronaldo’s name. He turned around and he saw me, and he told them to leave me,” said Addison.

“So I called him. He came to me. I was just shocked and crying and I was like ‘Can I have your jersey? Please, please. I’m a huge fan.’ He said ‘Are you okay?'” Addison added.

After checking Addison’s condition, Ronaldo took off the jersey and gave it to the young girl.

“When my dad saw him take off the shirt, my dad’s face was full of shock,” Addison said.

“I was like ‘Oh my God, this is it, my dream, finally came true’. That was probably the last time he played in Ireland. [Ronaldo] said I appreciated that and everything,” Addison continued.
