Gers. The docufiction “The True Story of D’Artagnan” twice awarded in the United States

Gédéon Programs has just been twice rewarded in the United States for the docufiction “The True Story of d’Artagnan”, by Augustin Viatte, which he produced. He received the “Audience Award” and “Best Biography documentary” from the jury of the RushDoc Film Festival for Documentaries. On Facebook, Lupiac was delighted with “this beautiful showcase across the Atlantic for our village and our favorite musketeer”.

Broadcast on “Arte” last April as part of the program “Invitation to travel”, the docufiction had broken audience records for the Saturday evening time slot. It was broadcast again on the same channel on November 16. This docufiction had been shot in part in the Gers at the beginning of summer 2020 and had called on actors and extras from the region to retrace the life of the famous Gascon hero.
