Germany: European Parliament wants to name buildings after Sophie Scholl – Bavaria

Another house is to be named after a leading figure in the Spanish women’s suffrage movement, Clara Campoamor. Scholl and Campoamor were exceptional European women, wrote Duch. The chairman of the Christian Democrats in the European Parliament, Manfred Weber (CSU), called Scholl a “European role model” on Twitter. The future Sophie Scholl building is just a few meters from the seat of the European Parliament in Brussels on Rue Wiertz.
