Germany can finally win first time against Ukraine in Nations League | UEFA Nations League 2020/2021

Due to the positive corona test of three Ukrainian goalkeepers, national coach Shevchenko had to call on Georgij Buschan (26), the goalkeeper of Dinamo Kiev for the second match in a row. Roman Yaremchuk (AA Gent) and Bohdan Michailitsjenko (Anderlecht) were also in the base.

Against France, Buschan had to turn around seven more times, but with his second cap against Germany, he clearly had more confidence. Buschan saved attempts by Gnabry and Goretzka, but he had no chance at the tapping of Ginter: 0-1

After the break, Buschan unexpectedly started to blunder. A harmless cross from Klostermann slipped through his hands, Goretzka could easily head in.

The connection goal of Roeslan Malinovski (ex-Genk) came too late to spoil the first German victory in the Nations League. In the first edition, Germany remained silent in a heavy group with France and the Netherlands. This year it stuck at 1-1 against Spain and Switzerland twice.
