The parliamentarians of government parties and opposition hope that other countries will also come up with a ban, reports the German weekly Der Spiegel. According to parliament, the Gray Wolves are racist, anti-Semitic and anti-democratic and threaten the security of the country. About 3 million ethnic Turks live in Germany, half of whom are Turkish citizens.
