German tuners remove Volvo speed limiter – Motor

As part of the Vision 2020 program, through which Volvo expects to achieve zero road traffic deaths, the company has limited the top speed of all its models to 180 kilometers per hour. Consumers perceived this news ambiguously, and tuning studios perceived such a policy of the Swedish brand as a challenge. And here’s the result: it wasn’t long before the German tuners removed the Volvo speed limiter. Atelier Heico Sportiv developed modified software for Swedish models, which returns the top speed to its previous values.
