Excuse me, Angela Merkel has asked for forgiveness. This has never happened in the history of this republic. This request only shows how desperate the Chancellor is. In the end with their Latin. Her strategy has always been: hard line. The harder the better. And preferably no contacts at all. And if there are no contacts, then the numbers drop: very quickly.
Merkel could not prevail
Angela Merkel has never been able to fully, at best only partially, assert herself with this line. If any. And that’s why the numbers are increasing. Because of the mutations, even rapidly. That is one view of the pandemic. The other is the plea for a change of strategy. Live with the virus, adapt to it, minimize risks, protect the old and the sick and vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate.
